"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Romans 12:2"

JUST THINKING

JUST THINK

I was thinking about the Savior with a question in my mind
And I wondered: 'When He was just a child
Did He remember Heaven when He was four, or six or seven?
Was He homesick? Did He cry for just a while?'

Just think what He gave up for you and me!
He traded Streets of Gold for dusty roads!
I wonder, did He dream of Heaven when He slept?
Just think what He gave up to save our souls.

He visited the Temple when He was only twelve.
'About His Father's business He must be.'
There He was a teen-age Teacher to the Pharisaic Preachers.
They couldn't understand who He might be.

The sacrifice He made for you and me!
He traded Jasper Walls for walls of man-made rules!
He must have missed His talks with Moses and Elijah.
Just think what He gave up to save our souls!

Then He spent His time with Peter, and Thomas and the rest,
Trying to impart His Father's plan.
He left the Glory and the Wonder for the 'mighty sons of thunder'.
He knew He couldn't trust the heart of man.

The change He had to make for you and me!
The Wisdom of the Ages met the foolishness of man.
I wonder if He missed companionship of Angels!
Just think what He gave up to save the souls of man!

The Plan had been perfected before the earth was formed
That He must die to give Eternal Life.
So the true Emancipator was sold for thirty bits of silver
To make a way that we would never die.

Oh, the sacrifice He made for you and me!
He left the Pearly Gates to defeat the gates of hell.
He gave up all of Heaven for a dark and sinful world
He freely gave it up so save our souls.

He gladly gave it up for you and me!
